What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, email address and, if you give it, a phone number. We use them to print, post and confirm your order, and for nothing else. If you join a shop's waitlist we keep that email address only to send one message when the next drop opens.

Payment

Card payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure pages. Your card number never reaches Custom Merch and we never see or store it. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment step.

Cookies

The site itself sets one cookie, which keeps your basket together while you shop and goes when you close your browser. If we are using analytics or a TikTok pixel, a prompt asks before any of it loads: say yes and Google or TikTok set their own cookies to tell us which pages and videos bring people here and what gets bought; say no and nothing of theirs is loaded at all. You can change your answer by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your say-so

Whenever you give us your details — placing an order, asking for a quote, joining a drop waitlist, leaving a review or making an account — we ask you to tick a box confirming we can use them for that purpose, and we keep a note of when you did. We only use them for that purpose.

Accounts

You never need an account to order. If you make one, we keep your name, email, phone and address so your orders show in one place and the checkout fills itself in; your password is stored only as a scrambled hash that cannot be turned back into the password. An account only shows orders placed while signed in to it, plus earlier orders under the same email once you have confirmed that email by clicking a link we send to it. You can delete your account by emailing admin@custommerch.uk.

How long we keep things

Order details are kept as part of our business records. Waitlist emails are deleted once the drop they signed up for has been announced, or on request at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except records we must keep, such as completed orders). Email admin@custommerch.uk and we will sort it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
